Be The Difference, Vote

Wanna make a difference and have an impact for our country?  One of the many ways to do that is to vote! In 2024, history will be made. On November 5th, many Americans will go to the polls to cast their ballots for president. This will be considered to be one of the most important,  closest elections in our recent history. Voters will also be voting on state legislatures candidates, county races, university board races, ballot proposals, local school board races and judges too. The polls on Election Day will be open from 7 am. - 8  pm.  If you’re still in line to vote at 8 pm, they have to let you vote, stay in line. Also remember to vote on the front, the back of the ballot and proposals too! If you voted absentee, there’s still time to turn in your ballot. Thanks for being the difference. GOP Cuts Hurt Everyone

This is a critical time for the United States and the worlds’ economy. As of this week, President Biden and Congress are in critical negotiations to avoid a financial crisis. The crisis has to do with raising the National debt ceiling. If  Congress fail to raise the countrys’ debt ceiling by early June, the United States could go into default and it’s bills wouldn’t be paid.  In other words, our economy would be devastated. Many seniors and those dependent on Social Security wouldn’t be able to make ends meet. Many in the military wouldn’t be paid. Many social programs would be devastated, government employees would not get paid, our government wouldn’t function. The GOP claim they’re pro-life, yet they want proposed budget cuts to social programs that help many American families. The GOP also want tougher work requirements for Medicaid, SNAP benefits.  The GOP also don’t want to cut spending for the  defense The GOP claim the cuts are needed to help the budget and help our economy g

Make Earth Day Every Day

All over the world millions are remembering Earth Day today. Earth Day was started in 1970 to bring awareness to environmental, conservation and climate issues.  Climate change is real, it’s affecting billions. Whether it’s rising temperatures, changing weather patterns, floods, wildfires, stronger storms, droughts, many are devastated by increasing natural disasters. The USA must be a global leader when it comes to fighting climate change. There are many ways American can make a difference to help our planet every day.  One way to help is by urging Congress to pass legislation to fight climate change.  Another way is to recycle. By recycling, less garbage is made, also recyclables can be used to make new items too.  Electronics can be recycled too.  You can call your city for more info for what can be recycled. Another way is to use reusable canvas bags for grocery shopping instead of plastic bags.  You can buy organic produce at your local markets & buy products that use less pac

Pass Common Sense Gun Control Now

The GOP ought to be ashamed of themselves. They are a bunch of friggin Hypocrites! The GOP claim they’re pro-life, yet they continue to block common sense gun laws that would save lives. The right of many Americans to be safe while going about  their lives is as American as the 4th of July, eating  a hot dog at the ballpark, apple pie. Whether gun violence has occurred in Sandy Hook, Oxford, Parkland, Aurora, Charlotte, Virginia Tech, Orlando, Vegas, Buffalo, innocent lives were cut short. Many families have been torn apart and devastated by someone who had shot a weapon. The most recent attack occurred 2 weeks ago in Uvalde, Texas.  19 students and 2 teachers were slain after a young man with an assault weapon opened fire in classrooms at Robb elementary school.  The shooter shot his grandmother earlier that day and was later killed by a border patrol agent. The shooter recently turned 18 and purchased two assault rifles a week ago.  Even after all the tragedies, the GOP continue to b

Voting Rights Are Human Rights Too

The United States government is by the people for the people. The GOP forgot that. The right to vote, be heard is as American as 4th of July, watching football on Sunday afternoon and apple pie. The right to vote is a human right. Republicans want to limit that right to have a say in our government. Republicans governors and GOP led legislatures passed new laws that would make it harder for voters to have their voices heard. The new laws would limit the amount of time a voter can get an absentee ballot, require an ID to get an absentee ballot, make it illegal for election officals to mail out unsolicited absentee ballot applications, allow the GOP to suspend county election officials and reduce drop off boxes for absentee ballots. It's also would make it illegal for anybody to hand out water to voters who would waiting in the hot sun to vote. The stricter laws came after Republican losses in the 2020 presidential election. Republicans argue this would make elections more secure,  h

Democracy In Action

Smething Smells Rotten In Georgia

What signifies America better than democracy. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp,  the GOP ought to be ashamed of themselves.  The Georgia Governor signed new legislation that would make it harder for Georgia voters to have their voices heard. The new laws would limit the amount of time a voter can get an absentee ballot, require an ID to get an absentee ballot, make it illegal for election officals to mail out absentee ballot applications, allow the GOP to suspend county election officals. It's also would make it illegal for anybody to hand out water to voters who would waiting to vote in the hot Georgia sun to vote. The laws came after Republican losses in the 2020 presidential election and in the January 2021 Georgia Senate races. Republicans argue this would make elections more secure. However many see the laws  oppressive to voters.  Many Americans made their voices heard by voting absentee in 2020 and in the 2021 Georgia Senate Races. What they're doing is going against everythi
