Voting Rights Are Human Rights Too
The United States government is by the people for the people. The GOP forgot that. The right to vote, be heard is as American as 4th of July, watching football on Sunday afternoon and apple pie. The right to vote is a human right. Republicans want to limit that right to have a say in our government. Republicans governors and GOP led legislatures passed new laws that would make it harder for voters to have their voices heard. The new laws would limit the amount of time a voter can get an absentee ballot, require an ID to get an absentee ballot, make it illegal for election officals to mail out unsolicited absentee ballot applications, allow the GOP to suspend county election officials and reduce drop off boxes for absentee ballots. It's also would make it illegal for anybody to hand out water to voters who would waiting in the hot sun to vote. The stricter laws came after Republican losses in the 2020 presidential election.
